Eat Your Heart Out
A foodie event
SUNDAY, Feb 14 2010
Cadman Plaza Community Room
140 Cadman Plaza W, 2nd floor
Brooklyn NY 11201
10 am – 5 pm
Join the gentles of Brokenbridge for a day dedicated to food! We will eat, drink, talk, watch videos, eat…
We plan to show British food historian Ivan Day’s six-part TV series. Hungry for the Past. and Cookery Tudor Style, a DVD released by Stuart Press. Suggestions for discussions or volunteers to give short lectures or demos are welcome.
Devra the Baker may, with suitable encouragement, bring some recently published books for examination.
The mid-day meal will be pot-luck style, so please bring something that will feed 2 – 4 people. {This is your chance to try something unusual! Be daring! Be inventive!} We will furnish dessert and beverages. There is a full (if small) kitchen, so things can be heated up or refrigerated if necessary. (No open flames, though.)
This site is wet.
Gold Key is available, but please request loaner garb in advance, so we don’t have to bring all six boxes of clothes…
Since this is a doorman-controlled building, it is necessary for us to have a list of those attending two weeks before the event. We therefore beg that those planning to attend send us their mundane names. Site fee is $5, with the $3 NMS to apply. Please make checks out to SCA, Inc – Ostgardr, and send to: Devra Langsam, 627 East 8th St, Bklyn NY 11218.
Requests for “Gold Key” loaner garb may be mailed to Devra Langsam, or emailed to Devra@aol.com.
Please check our canton website http://www.
